Links: Reactions to Mike Doss Edition

You can read some of the reaction to new Viking Mike Doss at Vikings Now, Vikes Geek, Skol Vikes, and the Fanhouse. Though a part of me feels like Clark Griswold saying, "Do you really think it matters, Eddie?"

The New York Times has an article about why Mickey Mantle is such a literary muse. That's my idol George Costanza's idol!

And now, for the self-indulgent and boring portion of this post (no, this isn't about a Sofia Coppola movie). I now have internet at home. In the words of Martin Luther, "What does this mean for us?" Hopefully, it means the quantity and quality of this blog improves. Not only can I now post on nights and weekends (when so inspired), but I can keep blogging consistently throughout the summer. Hopefully, too, the resources, time, and access I have at home can allow the quality to improve. So keep on reading; this thing might just go up a notch. A whole notch.

And as long as we're in the self-indulgent narcissistic portion of this post, I'm still a vegan, but I'm really jonesing for some cheese.

  1. is it still self indulgent if lots of people like it? i'm talking about sophia c, not your cheese musings.

  2. The characters are self-indulgent/narcissistic; if you enjoy watching them, of course that's your business. "Lost in Translation" is navel-gazing angst, and my major disappointment in "Marie Antoinette" was that we didn't get to see the bitch's head roll.
