The Vikes drafted three wide receivers, and they may turn out to be productive. If they are productive in year one, that would be outstanding (though as the team is currently constituted, they will probably have to be productive).
But the Vikings should now go sign recently released Keyshawn Johnson. Somebody please tell me why they shouldn't.
Johnson had 70 catches for 815 yards last year. If there's a current Viking WR that matches that productivity in 2007, the Vikes will make the playoffs. Why not let it be Johnson? He's also a great blocking WR that would help our Chester Taylor/Adrian Peterson combo. He's not fast, but he's a reliable and tough receiver that can be complimented by all the speedy inexperienced guys (like Rice and Allison) and the speedy guy that can't catch (Try Williamson. No, that's not a typo, I'm now calling him Try Williamson. He can't catch and he can't adjust to the ball, but he sure does try).
Throw him some damn money, then throw him the damn ball!
