Robert Ferguson

Robert Ferguson has joined the Minnesota Vikings (Sports Illustrated).

Once I despaired of the Viking wide receivers; now I am filled with limitless hope. For reasons I cannot begin to fathom, Robert Ferguson as a Viking makes me gasp and smile. My Packer friend RK has spent 6 years talking about Ferguson in a tone I can only describe as "jeering"; now he's a Viking and perhaps one day over drinks we'll share Robert Ferguson stories. I hope mine are happier than his.

  1. Do you remember when we held the draft at my apartment and I think I played as the Green Bay Packers or Rob did (it is all blurry) but Robert Ferguson had over 265 yds recieving and a ridiculous amount of TDs? I hope that is the Robert Ferguson we get.

I remember, Justin. Playing you in Madden is maddening. You find one play and bang it like a cheap drum over and over again. I remember the following year when you played me and repeatedly threw to LT out of the flat. I had to manually take my LB and cover that area.

justin you had over 1000 yards with him in that game. it was the most absurd exhibition i've ever seen. compare that with his 1 career 100 yard game (against the vikings in 02).

  4. I'm not exactly happy or unhappy with this move. It can't hurt to bring in a veteran, but after all the injuries (and still a risk for more) how much are we actually going to get from him?

  5. I am glad RK remembers. I couldn't remember if it was absurd or not, so I erred on the safer side. Now that I am reminded it was over 1000 yards in 1 game, I want that Ferguson to be the guy playing for the Vikings....too bad this signing wasn't before our draft or Joe might have bid 2-5 dollars on him.

  6. I really think that Robert Ferguson is a very good player and that any club would like to have him in their club, and I also think he is a good asset for the Minnesota Vikings
