John David Booty

All I wanted out of this weekend's draft was a quarterback I had heard of, and the Vikings drafted a quarterback I have heard of.

I picture him as a pirate. Aarrrggh. At least you didn't draft this marine or whatever he is who gets out of killing people because he was drafted.

good pick for the Vikes! Overrall the Vikes Draft was a B...they got a good Safety, a QB, a Center, DT and WR....Look out for the PPE in 08-09!

The Vikes had an OK draft (B), but Jared Allen trade was a boone, and their post-draft free agent signings are fantastic!! Brad Childress and his team did their homework!

  4. Unless the Bears end up with a 2:1 TD-INT ratio from their quarterback (I don't think this has happened since the 1940's, and despite being around since 1920, they've only had a 1:1 ratio 27 times), there's no reason the Vikings shouldn't finish first in the NFC North. Purple Jesus could miss six games and they should still win it.

Also, way to be a douche RK. I'm sure that's why he joined the Army. To kill people who are different from him.

As a soldier currently serving in Iraq I find this a very classless statement and I truly hope you are not a Vikings fan but just someone stopping by. Or perhaps you are just an idiot who couldn't think of anything better to say. But think about the Countless American that gave up there life over here and other places in history so you can make idiot comments like that. Don’t we are here for guys you too.

  6. I'll just say that to be offended by what RK wrote, you'd have to have a very narrow political correctness regarding how people talk about soldiers.

Perhaps a valid point but by the same token I think to make that statement or to so quickly back it up one might also have a very narrow minded view about what soldiers do and why they decide to serve their country. It was at, a minimum, maybe just a joke made in poor taste. It was however offensive to me. I am not the most politically correct person but we all have or buttons I think.

And I think that anyone who dubs themselves "PacifistViking" has probably already decided which side of the issue they stand.
