Honestly, if Favre is on the team, I think he's better off skipping camp. I don't think camp matters terribly much to a player that has basically spent the last two decades in the league. Furthermore, we want to see the Vikes playing well in January more than September (and certainly more than August). In the last few seasons, it has appeared that Favre has worn down later in the season. If a little sloppiness in September is the cost of a fresher Favre in January, that's OK.
I wouldn't have any problem with him being in training camp and having the workout regimen of a kicker, as long as he's getting to know the personnel, developing timing with his receivers, and so on.
But all we've been hearing is how he didn't want to "live in a dorm" or somesuch, with no comment on wanting to avoid two-a-days in the summer heat. That sounds elitist to me, and the man's ego is big enough.
Just wait till you see him Friday night. He's gonna be Amazing, wow I'm drinking the purple koolaide!
ReplyDeleteI've watched this video twice. Often I would backtrack to watch a throw again and again. I am a sucker.
ReplyDeleteoh baby that Video is Nice! Wow! I'm excited like a little kid in a candy shop. This season will be an emotional roller coaster!
ReplyDeleteMany fans are taking this way too seriously, I am going to sit back and dream while I enjoy this crazy ride : )
I'm gonna keep watching this video at least 3 times
He better be amazing on Friday. He knows the offense perfectly and didn't need training camp.

ReplyDeleteFavre and the Vikes need to play well so he can sit out the last game or two of the regular season before the playoffs. AD will be a Beast!
ReplyDeleteHe signed his deal, ate lunch, and ten minutes later started zipping strikes. Imagine what it'll look like when he knows his reciever's names.
