I totally agree, I was watching Mike and Mike this morning and Golic was defending this BS with his usual banter of unreasoned logic. Why I watch? I don't know.
I see it from both sides. I mean, I'm with Dez Bryant in that I think it's pointless and stupid, but I also understand Golic in that it's tradition... no matter how stupid it is, it's tradition.
It wouldn't have benefited Bryant to carry Williams pads. (Bryant is probably already a better receiver than the overrated Williams), but at the same time, sometimes it's good to bite the bullet and do the stupid task just to show that you're willing to be a good teammate, and in some ways a bigger man than the fool who wants you to do the stupid task
