ARGH!

Shit.

I hate everything about it. I hate starting the season on the road. I hate starting the season with a Packer game. I hate starting on a Monday night (I usually teach Monday nights). The schedule can eat shit and die.

  1. Gee, I'm excited about this first game. It'll likely be a statement game for the Vikes, and about a billion people will watch it.

I just hope it isn't embarassing.

  2. I also have to work that nite leaving me with the choice I am always presented with.Tape the game, avoid radio stations that broadcast any kind of sports news.Hope that a co-worker doesnt blurt out the score. Then hopefully getting home with the Wife or kids not having fiddled with the VCR.Ill get home about 10:15 pm,jump in chair start the game and nurse 3 beers through out it.Hopefully done by 1:30 am as the trusty alarm clock goes off at 6:AM Mon-Fri.
Could go with Option b which is to go work and around 3:pm get seriously sick from lunch. But Boss knows I am a Vike fan.MMM add option c in and bribe boss lol

I love it! The first thing I look for when the sched comes out is the date of the Lambeau game, I want it early in warm weather.

Also the idea that we get to have our breakout season start on Monday night, with a win over the Packers? woohoo!

The glass is half full guys, look alive!

Living in CA, I love any time the Vikings are on primetime. This is more than okay with me. I'm actually excited about it.

they'll talk about quarterback questions for half the night.
'these are two solid teams defensively'
'i agree Jaws, but does either team have a quarterback they can depend on?' etc

I don't know why Vikings fans are worried about this.

The Vikings ruined the Packers opener in the renovated Lambeau Field a few years ago. They beat the Packers at Lambeau in the playoffs a couple of years ago too.

I'm sure Vikes fans are still reeling from the shellacking the Vikings got at Lambeau in 07, but I see this as a likely disaster for my beloved Packers.

Too much pressure way too soon for our young team and our new QB.

You definitely put a new spin on a subject which has been discussed
for many years. Wonderful stuff, just excellent!
