I'm just not sure--it seems like Favre's numbers have been dropping off in the last third or fourth of a season for a few years now. I might just be so distraught about the Johnson-Jackson-Holcomb-Bollinger-Frerotte years, and fearful that Rosenfels just adds a sixth name and a fourth year to that mess (though I'm actually optimistic Rosenfels is good: he seems accurate and strong-armed, so he's probably be best QB the Vikes have had since Daunte).pacifist vikinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02639283781758286098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23140411.post-58789380896029169372009-05-04T15:49:00.000-05:002009-05-04T15:49:00.000-05:00Even Brett Favre from 3 years ago was hit-and-miss...Even Brett Favre from 3 years ago was hit-and-miss.

Besides, this is a potent young offense that can contend for years. They don't need a one-year rental, they need a franchise QB who'll be around for a while to keep winning with Peterson, Harvin, etc.Samayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09558032949167581087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23140411.post-32124225409819090212009-05-04T14:59:00.000-05:002009-05-04T14:59:00.000-05:00Let me say all my feelings are entirely irrational...Let me say all my feelings are entirely irrational. My fandom for the Vikes and ensuing "distaste" for the Packers and Favre, thus making me horrified: irrational. My association of "Brett Favre" as "Hall of Fame quarterback" (rather than "40 year old interception thrower") that could end up quarterbacking a team that has featured Brad Johnson, Tarvaris Jackson, Kelly Holcomb, Brooks Bollinger, and gus Frerotte the past three seasons, thus making me ecstatic: irrational. I can't reason about these things--even when I try the rational argument is just an attempt to explain irrational emotions.pacifist vikinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02639283781758286098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23140411.post-19338887276579556452009-05-04T14:34:00.000-05:002009-05-04T14:34:00.000-05:00Favre tore it up, until he tore his biceps. He won't have to work as hard with MN then he did in NY or even GB. Let him steal a super bowl and then retire.Heinekennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23140411.post-68536970210758350922009-05-04T13:40:00.000-05:002009-05-04T13:40:00.000-05:00Favre was 8-3 before he got injured, what u got to...Favre was 8-3 before he got injured, what u got to say to that?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23140411.post-12012524577604001192009-05-04T12:52:00.000-05:002009-05-04T12:52:00.000-05:00how can any real vikes fan want favre? didn't ANY ...how can any real vikes fan want favre? didn't ANY of you see favre play last year? he stunk! and now you want that on the vikes? ugh. We all are. But my gut feeling is Favre never completely got this Vikings fixation out of his system. Now we wait for the smoke signals from chimneys in Eden Prairie, Minn., and southern Mississippi, to see if Favre wants to play again, and to see if the Vikings want him. If he returns, the dream game of this season won't be Pats-Colts. It'll be Vikings-Packers.
